How to get marry in BC?

Within three months before your wedding day, you will need to get a marriage license from one of the marriage license issuers in your area. The cost of the marriage license is $100 and is non-refundable.

One member of the couple must apply in person and show a primary identification for both parties.

At a wedding in BC, the couple, two witnesses and the officiant marrying them must sign the Marriage License and Registration of Marriage.  The officiant will submit the registration to Vital Statistics Agency within 48 hours. Couples will receive their marriage certificate three weeks after the wedding takes place.
